MOMTAZ ISLAMIC ART

My dedication to the wonderful world of Islamic Art began during my childhood in Paris, influenced by my father as a notable dealer.

 

In those formative years, my father and I often visited the eclectic collections of Maurice Rheims and Charles Ratton which became instrumental in shaping my taste as an art lover and specialist of Islamic Works of Art.

 

In 1977, Momtaz Islamic Art was established in London after taking over from my father, Mozaffar Momtaz.

 

The gallery has a global outlook with an international clientele – from private individuals to established institutions and museums – representing a wide group of collectors from around the world.

 

We work on a personal basis with all clients and use our expertise to source and provide fine and important works of art.

 

I believe that objects have to be handled and viewed personally. The website is to give you an indication of what we deal in. We look forward to collaborating with you and of being of service.
